I’ve always been interested in how businesses, sport and media connect, and now I’m turning that interest into something of my own.
I’m Lucas O’Riley, the person behind Lucas O’Riley Media.
I was born in Ruakaka, New Zealand, and have been around horses since I was about four years old. When I was seven, my family moved to Melbourne, Australia, where I spent five years before moving back home to New Zealand at 12.
Growing up between New Zealand and Australia gave me the chance to experience different places, people and industries. I’ve also gained experience around media and have always had a strong interest in sport, particularly horse racing and rugby league.
I’m currently studying Commerce and Digital Technologies, which has helped me build my knowledge of business, marketing and the digital side of how businesses operate.
A big part of what I do now is content creation. I use Canva to create high quality social media posts, graphics and templates that are designed specifically for each business. I don’t believe in making every business look the same. I take the time to understand the business and create a style that fits its brand, customers and personality.
Lucas O’Riley Media is a way for me to put those skills into practice while helping businesses improve their social media presence.
I’m always learning, trying new ideas and looking for opportunities to work with new people and businesses.
